Nashua St Booster Pump Station Project – Milford NH
HAWSCO successfully constructed a 42’ x 34’ Water Booster Pump Station for the Town of Milford NH, delivering the Project from foundation to finish. Yard Piping includes 16” Ductile Iron Pipe, 16” MJ Gate Valves, Suction and Discharge Hydrants, Catch Basin and Drainage System. The station features a CMU Block structure strapped with Hardie Siding and PVC Trim, a Wood Truss system and Standing Seam Metal Roof with Seamless Gutters and Snow Stops for safety.
Interior Features and Mechanical Systems:
- Equipped with 16” Ductile Iron Water Mains for both inlet and outlet flows.
- Includes three 60 HP Grundfos VMS Pumps each with a capacity of up to 750 GPM.
- An Accu-Tab Chlorinator was installed for chemical injection for disinfection.
- A 14” Stainless Steel KOFLO Static Mixer was installed to properly mic the injected treatment chemical solution.
- ATI and Hach Analyzers were installed to monitor chlorine levels and PH.
- A Tempered Water Emergency Eye Wash and Shower Combo Unit was installed for chemical safety purposes.
- Interior HVAC is automatically controlled by Exhaust Fans and Louvers as well as Gas Unit Heaters.
- All Pumps and chemical Feed Systems are controlled through Variable Frequency Drives ( VFD’s ) integrated with a SCADA System incorporating adjustable pressure and flow setpoints, water tank levels, and related alarms all with adjustable time delays and ability to contact Water Department personnel in case of emergency.
Power and Backup Systems:
- Primary power is utility supplied 480 VAC Three Phase connected to custom switchgear with built in surge protection.
- Backup power is provided by an Automatic Transfer Switch ( ATS ) and a 150 KW Natural Gas Generator.
